T O P I C R E V I E WVintrySo I am in a VERY good mood today :))) My financial problems are all gone! Even better, I have money to spend on anything I want now :) anything! And what do I want? A good astro book of course. Who would be surprised here on Linda Land? So here is what I wanted to ask all of you like-minded people: your advice. Which book should I buy? Which one in your precious opinion is the best one out there waiting for me to purchase it?I am interested in transits, everything there is to know about them. When I go to astro.com I combine my natal chart with today's day chart. I can see where all the transiting planets are falling in my chart and what aspects them form with my natal planets. The problem is that I don't know what all of this means. I mean, of course I can guess or google some info on the internet but it is not enough for me to learn how to make predictions. So I am looking for a book that explains all of this stuff, aspects and planets in houses both. Please, let me know which book is the best. Also, which one is the best for synastry? I can buy more than one :)Many thanks VintryAnybody has this one? PLANETS IN TRANSIT: Life Cycles for Living, expanded 2nd edition - Robert HandIs it good?AzalakshI have "Planets in Transit" -- it's a very good 'cookbook' reference.I would recommend Steven Forrest's "The Changing Sky" for transits and progressions.Anything by Bil Tierney.Erin Sullivan's "Saturn in Transit."Will check my library downstairs and see if I find any more gems Vintryok, thanks! I will look them up, definitely getting Robert Hand's book, so many good words about it on the internet. And guess what? I ordered Planets in Composite on Amazon. It takes about 2 days for delivery. But no, I couldnt wait, went to the bookshop and got another astrology book about transits. I am bad! hippichickOooo, yes!!!!Robert Hand is VERY good at transits!!!I like, especially his writings on timings and the smaller tplanets setting off events of the larger tplanets!I have that same book, tho is has divided itself into many sections after many years!!!I have, as well, been quite interested in the study of transits as of late, especially the lunations kicking off events of the slower moving planets in transit. On the forum, there are few very, very good astrologers who are SO very good at transits. In respect to them, I will remain in confidence. (I think the Goddess of Balance is the best!!)Good luck with your studies!!!Terri
